Dylan Dewis - Interventionist, Recovery Coach

About Dylan

With a true passion for helping individuals and families heal from the effects of problematic substance use and addiction, Dylan embraces a solution-focused approach emphasizing accountability and behavioural modification to create the life you deserve.

Dylan has been on the path of helping others long before his recovery. The reason? He strives to be a better person than he was the day before and wants to see his clients aspire to do the same.

As an advocate to end the stigma around addiction, Dylan spends time supporting men and women who are finding their authentic self while learning to embrace and express their emotions.

Growing up in a family affected by substance use, Dylan has learned how each person plays a role in the family dynamics, and is passionate about helping families heal from the effects of addiction. In fact, Dylan has made it his mission to help thousands of families recover from addiction.

Dylan has trained with Patti Pike from CanAm Interventions and Cali Estes from The Addictions Academy. He is bound by ethics set forth by the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation and is currently pursuing accreditation as a Canadian Certified Addiction Counsellor.

During Dylan’s 12 years in active recovery he has completed a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria, specializing in Biopsychology and Neuroscience.

Dylan is a single Dad, raising a beautiful daughter and sharing his home with their Border Terrier, Stella. Born and raised in Prince George BC, Dylan knew from the age of 12 that he wanted to make Vancouver Island his home (his heart also feels at home while spending time in Hawaii).

In his free time Dylan enjoys resistance training and weight-lifting, and is an outdoor enthusiast in general. His recreational passions include fly fishing, snowboarding, hiking, hunting, and music.

“If musicians display talent I listen to them; everything from Bluegrass to Hip Hop, from Classical to Heavy Metal”. – Dylan

Dylan promotes a for-purpose business model, supports the anti-bullying movement, and contributes to groups feeding less fortunate children on Vancouver Island.
